WILTED LETTUCE 
Red leaf lettuce
6 slices bacon
1/3 c. vinegar
1 beef bouillon cube
1/2 c. boiling water
1/4 tsp. pepper
1 c. sliced onion

Cook bacon until crisp. Remove from pan, crumble and set aside. Reserve 1/2 of drippings in the pan. Dissolve bouillon cube in water. Add bouillon, onions, vinegar, and pepper to pan. Bring to boil. Toss with bacon and lettuce.

Serves 4 to 6.
