SMOKEY CORN CHOWDER | |
1/2 c. chopped onion 4 tbsp. butter 1/4 c. all-purpose flour 1 tsp. salt (can be omitted) 1/8 tsp.pepper 4 c. milk 1 (12 oz.) pkg. smoked sausage links, sliced 1 (16 oz.) can whole kernel corn, drained (can use cream style) 1 (8 oz.) can lima beans, drained In saucepan cook onion in butter until tender but not brown. Blend in flour, salt and pepper. Add milk all at once. Cook and stir until thickened and bubbly. Stir in sausage, corn and limas. Simmer 10 minutes. Makes 6 servings. |
