RIPE CUCUMBER PICKLES 
Peel and cut cucumbers. Soak overnight in 3 tablespoons salt to 1 quart water.

Drain and make a syrup of: 2 c. water 3 c. sugar 2 sticks cinnamon 1 tbsp. mixed spices 1/2 tsp. alum

Boil syrup then add cucumber and boil 3 minutes. Pack in jars and seal.
