CHINESE FRIED NUTS 
1 lb. shelled walnuts or pecans
Oil
1/2 c. granulated sugar

Do nuts half at a time. Add to large pan of boiling water. Boil 1 minute, drain and rinse with hot water. Place in mixing bowl and stir in 1/2 the sugar.

Heat 1 inch oil in large skillet and fry until nice and brown. Place on wax paper. Salt and mix. Cool and dry before boxing.
