POTATO DONUTS 
1 c. mashed potatoes
1 c. sugar
2 tbsp. melted shortening
2 eggs, well beaten
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 c. evaporated milk
1/2 c. water
1/2 tsp. salt
4 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
Flour

Combine all moist ingredients together. Combine all dry ingredients. Mix well to make soft dough. Roll out and cut 1/4 inch thick. Bake at 365 degrees.

GLAZE:

1 c. sugar
1/2 c. water
1/8 tsp. cream of tartar

Stir sugar until dissolved and cook until slightly stringy. Set in cold water to stop cooking. Put in warm water. Dip donut and put on wax paper.
