POTATO DONUTS 
1 c. sugar
1 c. hot mashed potatoes
Butter, size of egg
1 1/2 c. milk
5 tbsp. baking powder
4 c. flour
1/4 tsp. nutmeg
Pinch of salt (about 1/2 tsp.)

To sugar, add potatoes containing butter. Mix well. Add milk. Mix flour, salt, baking powder and nutmeg. Add to potato mixture. Roll 1 1/2 inch thick and cut. Fry in deep fat until brown. Dust with powdered sugar in sack.
