HOT FUDGE SUNDAE CAKE 
1 2/3 c. flour
1 c. brown sugar
1/4 c. cocoa
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt (opt.)
1/2 c. chopped almonds
1 (4 oz.) jar maraschino cherries, drained & chopped (reserve juice)
1/3 c. oil
1 tsp. vinegar
1/2 tsp. vanilla

Mix dry ingredients. Add enough water to cherry juice to make 1 cup. Mix in remaining ingredients. Pour into greased 8"x10" pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 25 to 30 minutes. Cool in pan completely.

Put 1/2 gallon of your favorite ice cream on top. Cover and freeze 2 hours.

When ready to serve, put 1 can of crushed pineapple or maraschino cherries on top of ice cream. Cover with hot fudge. Top with a layer of whipped cream. Cut out servings as you would a cake. Top each serving with sprinkled nuts and a cherry. It's a crowd pleaser.
