MOM'S OATMEAL COOKIES 
1 c. soft butter
1 c. packed brown sugar
2 eggs
1/4 c. sour milk
2 c. flour
2 c. rolled oats
3/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cinnamon
1/2-1 c. raisins
1/2 c. chopped nuts

Cream butter and sugar. Beat in eggs. Add sour milk. Stir in rest of ingredients in order given. Drop by teaspoon onto cookie sheet. Bake 12 to 14 minutes in 350 degree oven. Watch carefully. Cookies should be browned slightly at bottom edge. Top slightly soft for a soft, chewy cookie.
