MOM'S CURRY CHICKEN 
2 1/2 lb. chicken, cut in pieces
3 1/2 heaping tsp. curry
1 tbsp. ginger-garlic marinade (fish marinade)
1 tsp. ginger-garlic marinade
1 c. water (approximately)
1/3 c. oil
1/2 cinnamon stick
8 whole cloves
1 to 1 1/2 chopped onion
1 tbsp. cumin seed
2 lg. potatoes, cut in pieces
1 tsp. salt
Juice of 1/2 lime

Mix curry powder, 1 tablespoon ginger-garlic mixture and water in heavy pot. Add chicken pieces and heat to simmer. Next: add oil to wok, heat to medium high, add cinnamon stick, cloves, onion, 1 tablespoon garlic-ginger marinade. Stir, now add cumin seed. Add this mixture to simmering chicken. Cover pot and simmer. When curry mixture is mostly cooked, add potatoes and salt. When curry is almost ready to serve, add lime juice. Serve with rice and green vegetable.
