1 stick butter
1 c. sugar
1 c. persimmon pulp
1 egg
2 c. flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. cloves
1/2 tsp. cinnamon
1/2 tsp. nutmeg
1 c. chopped dates
1 c. chopped nuts

Mix butter, sugar, persimmon pulp and egg together. Sift flour, soda and spices and add to the butter and sugar mixture. Mix in dates and nuts. Drop by spoonfuls on cookie sheet and bake at 350 degrees for 10-12 minutes. While still warm, roll in powdered sugar.
