MY MOTHER'S POPCORN BALLS 
Great for Halloween!

1 cup molasses (Grandma's)
1/2 cup sugar
2 tsp. vinegar
2 tsp. butter
1/2 tsp. baking soda
3 quarts popped corn

Boil first 4 ingredients together until brittle ball forms in cold water (270°F on candy thermometer). Remove from heat. Add baking soda and pour over popcorn. Mix well. Wet hands in cold water and shape into balls. Wrap balls in waxed paper or plastic see-through wrap.

Cooks Note: Use of a candy thermometer is recommended.

Makes 1 dozen.
