LILLY'S NO-FAIL MICROWAVE
DIVINITY
 
4 c. sugar
1 c. light corn syrup
Dash of salt
3 egg whites, stiffly beaten
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. chopped nuts

Combine sugar, syrup and salt with 3/4 cup water in 2-quart casserole dish. Microwave on high for 20 minutes, stirring every 5 minutes. Pour hot syrup gradually over already beaten egg whites, beating constantly at high speed until candy thickens and looses its gloss, about 5 minutes. Stir in vanilla. Drop by teaspoons onto waxed paper.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
