GRANDMA'S POTATO SOUP 
In a large pan, place potatoes cut into small cubes and onion chopped fine. Cover with water and boil until potatoes are tender. Drain. Add milk to almost cover, heat slowly. Add 1/2 stick butter and salt and pepper to taste.

Cut up any meat and add to soup. (Ham, not dogs, and smoked sausage are what Grandma uses).

Very good with homemade bread!
