GRANDMA'S CHILI SOUP
1 lb. ground beef
1 lg. can crushed tomatoes
2 lg. cans kidney beans
3 stalks celery
4 green peppers
1 lg. onion
Chili powder to taste
Salt and peppers to taste

Chop onions, celery, green pepper into small pieces and saute until soft in a little oil. Add crushed tomatoes to veggies; cook on low about 15 minutes. Add kidney beans and at least 2 or 3 cans of water; stir well. Add chili powder; cook about an hour, stirring often, on low-medium heat.

Brown beef, breaking in pieces; drain grease from meat and add to soup. Cook about 10 minutes longer. Add salt, pepper and more chili powder to taste. The hotter the better! Makes enough to feed a small army.
