GRANDMA'S POTATO - CHILI SOUP 
1 lb. ground beef
1 med. onion
1 qt. tomato juice
1 (15 1/2 oz.) can red kidney beans
1 1/2 c. finely diced potatoes
1/4 c. tomato catsup
Chili powder to personal taste
Salt to taste

Brown ground beef and onion. Add tomato juice, beans, salt, chili powder and catsup. Cook until it begins to boil, turn heat down to low, add potatoes and simmer until potatoes are tender, stirring occasionally to keep potatoes from sticking and scorching.

2 frozen hash brown squares or 1 1/2 cups of frozen hash browns can be substituted for fresh potatoes to save time.
