KOSHER DILL PICKLES 
Sm. cucumbers
1 tbsp. dill seed
Pieces of onion
Peppercorns
Pieces of garlic
6 c. water
6 c. vinegar
10 tbsp. salt
2 tbsp. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. mustard seed
2 bay leaves

Fill pint jars with small cucumbers. Put in each jar 1 tablespoon dill seed, couple pieces of onion, 2 or 4 peppercorns, 2 pieces of garlic. Combine water, vinegar, salt, sugar, mustard seed, bay leaves. Bring to a boil and pour over cucumbers in jars. Seal at once and put in kettle that has enough water in it to come half way up the jars. Cover with lid and when it starts to boil, time 7 minutes and then take jars out of water.
