SWEET PICKLES | |
1 qt. Vlassic Polish dill pickles Drain juice from pickles and discard. Rinse pickles well and cut into slices. Put in a large bowl or jar. Cover with the following ingredients. 2 c. white sugar 2 tbsp. cider vinegar 1 sm. diced onion 1/2 tsp. celery seed They will drain their own juice. Stir a couple times a day or until sugar is thoroughly dissolved. Ready to eat after 3 days. Don't throw your vinegar away when pickles are gone, just add a little more sugar and vinegar to this for the next quart. You can use the same vinegar about 4 times. You can make as many quarts as you have containers for at the same time. (I do a gallon at a time.) |
