CORN FLAKE BARS | |
1/2 cup sugar 1/2 cup light corn syrup (Karo) 1/2 cup cream 3 cups corn flakes (any brand) 1/2 cup peanuts 1/2 cup coconut flakes Grease an 8-inch square pan. Set aside. Combine and boil sugar, corn syrup and cream to soft ball stage (236°F on candy thermometer). Work fast as you add corn flakes, peanuts and coconut flakes. Spread in prepared pan. Cut into bars. Cooks Note: Use of a candy thermometer is recommended. Makes 16 bars. Submitted by: Nancy H. |
