MY GREAT - GRANDMOTHER'S CHICKEN
& DUMPLING'S
 
1 whole chicken
1 tsp. salt
1 egg
1 c. flour
Pinch of baking powder

Poach chicken until done. Remove from broth and debone chicken. To make dumpling's; mix flour, egg, salt and baking powder. Depending on the size of the egg, you may have to add some water to the mixture. Roll the dough out and cut in bite size pieces. Drop these pieces into boiling broth and stir. Cook for 10 minutes or until dumpling's are done. Serves 6.
