MY GREAT-GRANDMOTHER'S TEA CAKES | |
2 eggs, slightly beaten 1 c. sugar 2 c. plain flour 1 c. butter, melted 1 tsp. salt 1 tsp. baking soda 1 tsp. vanilla flavoring Mix all ingredients and roll into 1-inch balls. Place on cookie sheet and press lightly with fork, just to make them pretty. Bake 8-10 minutes at 350 degrees. My Grandmammy used to put the cookies in a pillow slip and hang them upstairs to keep them. |
