CHEESY HAM-ASPARAGUS | |
2 cans asparagus or 24 fresh asparagus spears 12 slices cooked ham lunchmeat Cook asparagus if using fresh. Roll a slice of ham around 3 or 4 spears of asparagus. Put in 8 x 8 inch baking pan and heat in oven about 15 minutes at 350 degrees. CHEESE SAUCE: 1/2 c. butter 3/4 tsp. salt 3/4 tsp. Worcestershire sauce 1/2 c. flour Pepper About 1/2 lb. Cheddar cheese About 2 c. milk Melt butter, add flour, salt and pepper. Stir until mixed. Add milk until thick. You may need more milk - make it thick like a thin gravy. Add Worcestershire sauce and cut cheese in cubes and add. Cheese will melt and make this very golden colored. Add this sauce to meat and serve. |
