CHEESY ASPARAGUS SPEARS 
3/4 lb. fresh asparagus or 1 (10 oz.) pkg. frozen
2 tbsp. water
1/2 c. cottage cheese
1/4 c. shredded cheddar cheese
1 tbsp. chopped onion
1/8 tsp. pepper
1 tsp. butter
2 tbsp. bread crumbs

Prepare asparagus and arrange in 10 x 6 inch baking microwave dish, have tips toward center. Add water, cover with vented plastic wrap. Cook on high for 7- 10 minutes or until tender, arrange. In a small bowl mix cheeses, onion, pepper and set aside.

Melt butter, mix in bread crumbs. Drain asparagus, in same dish place tips toward edges. Spoon cheese mixture over top asparagus. Sprinkle with crumb mixture. Cook, uncovered, on high for 1-2 minutes or until cheese is melted. Give dish 1/2 turn. Serve immediately. Serves 4.

Since microwave ovens vary in power, you may need to adjust your cooking time.
