SADERA'S BEEF STEW 
1 1/2 lbs. stew meat
1/2 stick butter
2 (12 oz.) cans V-8 juice
1 lg. onion
3 lg. potatoes
3 carrots
3 stalks celery

Cut meat in small pieces. Dredge in flour, seasoned with salt and pepper.

Melt butter in Dutch oven. Put floured meat in melted butter and cook until coated. (Do not overcook or meat will be hard.) Add V-8 juice. Add vegetables. Cook for several hours until thick.

(If you cook stew in a Dutch oven on top of the stove you will have to stir occasionally. If you cook in the oven, cook in a covered dish for 1 1/2 hours or until thick.)

Serve the stew over buttered corn bread squares.
