CHARLIE BROWNS' MOTHER'S
BUTTERED OVEN POTATOES
 
4 med. potatoes, peeled
1/2 stick butter
Ice water
Salt

Slice potatoes in lengths (like French fries). Soak 1 hour in ice water. Remove and dry with paper towel. Dip each piece of potato into melted butter. Arrange in a shallow baking pan. Salt lightly with salt shake. Cook at 375 to 400 degrees until potatoes are brown and tender, when poked with a fork. Serves 6.
