HUNGARIAN PASTRY 
4 c. flour
1 c. sugar
1/2 tsp. salt
4 tsp. baking powder
1/2 lb. (2 sticks) butter
3 eggs
1/4 c. milk

Mix all ingredients and work with the hands until smooth. Divide dough in half. Roll out on wax paper the size of the cookie sheet. Spread pineapple or date or any kind of pie filling over bottom crust. Roll out other half and place on top. Brush with beaten egg, sprinkle with chopped nuts or confectioners' sugar. Use slightly greased cookie sheet. Bake 400 degrees for 30 minutes, cool and cut.
