5 c. flour
1 c. sugar
1 tsp. salt
3 tsp. baking powder
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1 lb. butter
3 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1/4 c. milk

Mix first 5 ingredients, cut in butter like pie dough. Beat eggs, vanilla and milk. Pour over flour and mix. Chill. Next day divide in half. Roll out on floured surface. Place in jelly roll pan. Spread jam over dough. Roll out second half. Cut into strips and criss-cross on top. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes. Cut into squares.
