HUNGARIAN THUMBPRINT COOKIES 
1/2 c. butter
1/4 c. sugar
1 egg yolk
1 c. sifted all-purpose flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1 egg white, unbeaten
1/4 c. finely chopped nuts
Jam of your own choice

Cream butter; add sugar gradually and cream thoroughly until light and fluffy. Add egg yolk and beat well. Sift in flour and salt; mixing until thoroughly blended. Shape into balls, 3/4 inch in diameter. Dip into unbeaten egg whites and roll lightly in chopped nuts.
