HOMEMADE APPLESAUCE | |
8 med. tart red apples, quartered 2 c. water 1 tbsp. lemon juice 1 tbsp. honey 1/2 tsp. cinnamon Place 1/4 of the apples in a blender, along with 1/2 cup of water. Process on low speed then medium until apples are smooth, scraping down sides of blender. Place in a large saucepan. Repeat with the remaining apples and water. Add the lemon juice, honey and cinnamon to the pan. Bring to a boil then reduce heat and simmer, stirring occasionally, about 15 to 20 minutes until the applesauce has the desired consistency. |
