SWEET TOOTH PUMPKIN BREAD | |
1 c. shortening 4 1/2 c. sugar 6 eggs 3 c. pumpkin (canned) 5 c. flour 3/4 tsp. baking powder 1 1/2 tsp. cinnamon 3/4 tsp. cloves 2 1/4 tsp. salt 2 1/4 tsp. baking soda 1 c. water Cream shortening. Add sugar and cream well. Add eggs and pumpkin; mix well. Add flour, spices, baking powder and salt. Mix soda and water and add to pumpkin mixture and mix well. Grease 4 small loaf pans and add batter. Bake at 350 degrees for 1 hour and 10 minutes. NOTE: As a special treat, add a dollop of Cool Whip to your slice. |
