CHERRY SURPRISE 
2 (8 oz.) cream cheese
1 box powdered sugar
1/4 c. milk
1 tsp. vanilla
4 c. vanilla wafers
1/2 c. butter
1 (8 oz.) Cool Whip
1 can cherry pie filling

Crush vanilla wafers - mix with butter. Put crumbs in bottom of 9 x 13 x 2 inch pan. Reserve 1/4 cup crumbs.

Cream together cream cheese, powdered sugar and milk. When smooth, add vanilla. Put cream cheese mixture over crumbs. Put in refrigerator 1 hour. Spread cherry pie filling over cream cheese. Then put Cool Whip over cherries. Crumble 1/4 cup crumbs over whip cream. Refrigerate for 4 hours at least.
