PEANUT BRITTLE CANDY 
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. sugar
1 c. raw Spanish peanuts
1/2 c. white syrup
1/4 c. water

Put everything in a large skillet and boil until it barely begins to scorch. Add 1 teaspoon of soda and stir in fast. Pour into buttered flat pan. Spread thin. When it cools, break into pieces.
