PEANUT BRITTLE CANDY 
2 c. sugar
1 c. white syrup
1/2 c. water

Mix; cook until syrup forms a thin thread from spoon. Add 2 1/2 cup raw peanuts. Cook until golden brown. Take off fire. Add 2 tablespoons butter and 1 teaspoon salt; mix well.

Add all at once 2 teaspoons soda and mix well. Let rise, then pour onto 2 ungreased cookie sheets. Shake back and forth to spread. Don't use spoon.
