PEANUT BRITTLE CANDY | |
2 c. sugar 1/2 c. water Pinch of salt 1 c. white syrup 1" square paraffin 2 c. unsalted peanuts 1 tsp. vanilla 1 tsp. baking soda Mix sugar, water and syrup and let come to a boil. Add paraffin and salt. Then add peanuts and candy thermometer; boil to 296 degrees. Remove from heat immediately. Add vanilla and soda and stir well. Pour onto buttered porcelain or marble. Let cool and break into pieces. |
