3 LAYER CANDY 
LAYER #1:

1/2 c. butter
1 square unsweetened chocolate (1 oz.)
1/4 c. granulated sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1 egg, beaten
2 c. graham cracker crumbs
1 c. coconut
1/2 c. chopped nuts

LAYER #2:

1/4 c. butter
1 tbsp. milk or cream
2 c. sifted confectionery sugar
1 tsp. vanilla

LAYER #3:

1 1/2 square unsweetened chocolate (1 1/2 oz.)

Melt 1/2 cup butter, 1 square chocolate. Blend sugar, vanilla, egg, graham cracker crumbs, coconut and nuts into the melted butter and chocolate; mix well and press into ungreased 11 1/2" x 9 1/2" x 1 1/2" or 9" x 9" x 1 3/4" pan. Refrigerate. Mix layer 2 ingredients and spread over first layer. Melt 1 1/2 squares of chocolate and spread over top. Cut before firm.
