CHOCOLATE CANDY COOKIES 
2 c. sugar
1/4 tsp. salt
2 squares unsweetened chocolate
1/2 c. evaporated milk
1/2 c. butter
2 c. oatmeal cereal
1/2 c. crunchy peanut butter
1 1/2 tsp. vanilla

Combine sugar, salt, chocolate, milk and butter in 2-quart saucepan. Place over medium heat, stirring from time to time, until mixture reaches full boil. Boil 1 minute, stirring constantly. Remove from heat. Add cereal, peanut butter and vanilla. Mix thoroughly. Let cool slightly. Using 2 tablespoons, drop small mounds onto wax paper. Let cool. Store in airtight container. Makes 5 dozen.
