ICED CINNAMON BISCUITS 
Biscuits:

2 c. all purpose flour
1/4 c. sugar
1 tbsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1 tsp. ground cinnamon
1/4 tsp. baking soda
1/3 c. shortening
3/4 c. raisins
3/4 c. buttermilk

In a bowl, combine the first six ingredients; cut in shortening until mixture resembles coarse crumbs. Stir in raisins. Add buttermilk; stir just until moistened. Turn onto a lightly floured surface; knead 4 to 5 times. Roll into 1/2 inch thickness, cut with a 2-1/2 inch biscuit cutter. Place with sides barely touching on a greased baking sheet.

Bake at 425°F for 12-17 minutes or until golden brown.

Icing:

1/2 c. powdered sugar
2 to 3 tsp. milk

Combine the icing ingredients; drizzle over biscuits. Serve warm.

Yield about 1 dozen.
