ORANGE CANDY CAKE 
2 c. raisins
1 lb. orange gum candy
2 1/2 c. plain flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
1 tsp. nutmeg
1 tsp. allspice
1 c. walnuts
1 can applesauce
1 tsp. vanilla
1 c. brown sugar
1/2 c. oil
4 tbsp. white sugar
1 stick butter
2 eggs

Mix applesauce, brown sugar, white sugar, eggs, softened butter, oil, and vanilla. Add 1 pound orange slice candy that has been cut into pieces, raisins, and nuts. Mix together real good. Add all dry ingredients (they should be mixed together) to the sugar etc. mixture. Mix well; bake at 250 or 300 degrees for 40 minutes or until toothpick has been inserted for doneness.
