ORANGE CANDY CAKE 
1 c. butter
5 eggs
4 c. flour
1 tsp. salt
1 lb. orange candy, cut up
1 can coconut
2 c. sugar
1 tsp. vanilla
1/2 tsp. baking soda
8 oz. white raisins
2 c. pecans
3/4 c. buttermilk

Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs and vanilla. Mix raisins, candy, nuts and coconut with 1/4 cup flour. Add dry ingredients alternating with milk to creamed mixture. Fold in fruits and nuts.

Bake in large tube pan at 300 degrees for 2 1/2 hours. Remove from oven and pour on syrup of 1 teaspoon grated orange and lemon peel, 1/2 cup confectioners' sugar. Let stand in pan overnight.
