1 c. butter 1 c. sugar 1 egg, separated 2 c. Gold Medal Flour 1/2 tsp. cinnamon 1 tbsp. water 1/2 to 3/4 c. finely chopped walnuts Lightly grease jelly roll pan (15 1/2 x 10 x 1). Mix butter, sugar and egg YOLK only. Blend flour and cinnamon. Stir into butter mixture. Pat and spread into pan. Beat egg WHITE and 1 tablespoon water until frothy. Brush over dough. Sprinkle with nuts. Bake 20 to 25 minutes until lightly brown. Cut immediately. Makes 50. |
