FRUIT SYRUP 
2 c. sugar
1 c. boiling water
2 drops lemon juice
3 tbsp. fruit jelly or jam or use 2 tbsp. fruit Jello, add a few drops of
food coloring

Dissolve the sugar, jam or jelly in the boiling water; boil 1 minute. Add lemon juice and coloring. Small pieces of the jelly or jam makes it more interesting. Make up a variety and serve on pancakes or waffles. Packages of Kool-Aid can also be used for flavorings.
