I chose this recipe to use on salmon for my husband ans I and chicken for our daughter. We all thought it was delicious, in fact we're having it again tonight! We didn't have any Mrs. Dash so I googled "diy mrs dash" and made up a batch. Good stuff.

I always heard of this as an old Pacific Northwest recipe, but who knows? A trick to use - use a shallow baking sheet and put aluminum foil on it, shiny side up. Don't use any cooking spray. Put the filet skin side down. When you're done, the skin sticks to the foil, making it so easy to lift the fish off... and then you can just throw away the foil. :)

This was a very simple and delicious way to prepare salmon. I added a few other simple techniques to enhance the flavors. I utilized sea salt, crushed black pepper, lemon pepper, garlic, and paprika to season. After seasoning, I trimmed the smaller portion offl the fillet to cook seperatly for my 3 year old, who never eats fish. Using a griddle pan, I seared it nicely ( on medium heat for about 45 secs on each side). From ther I placed it into the oven for roughly 17 mins at 410 degrees. Let it rest and I'm sure you can imagine the rest. The quick pan sear really locked int the juices and flavors, don't forget to allow you fillet to rest at room tempature before diving in...:)

I made this also but because of the thickness I had to cook it 10 minutes longer as others mentioned here. I added maple syrup & some Sweet Chili sauce I had!
