Baked Salmon Fillets or Steaks

I also recommend cooking the fish at a higher 400°F temp. My friends and I have always cooked salmon at 400°F or so. The mayo probably locks the moisture in, but if you don't use the mayo squeeze some lemon on in to keep it tender through baking.

This was delicious. I've never tried the mayonnaise before - but I always cook Salmon skin side down on a small piece of parchment paper. It makes the skin kind of crisp and sticks to the paper ever so slightly so that the skin peels right off very easily in one piece.

I have tried this recipe with both salmon & chicken. It is a favorite of ours because it is simple, healthy and delicious! I like to use olive oil-based mayonnaise which keeps the meat moist and delicious. for seasonings I have used lemon pepper, dill and Nature's Seasons.

Wow! This was wonderful! I had no idea about the mayo trick. I cooked it about 23 minutes because the filets were thick as well as added onion slices. I used dillweed and Old Bay. Delicious!

Really good. But I definitely recommend using garlic pepper in place of garlic powder (or just add a pepper of your choice). It adds a lot.

This is SO good. I used the mayo with olive oil and added garlic powder and onion powder and the paprika. And before I put it in the oven I topped it with grated Parmesan cheese ! My boyfriend hates mayo but is obsessed with this meal!
