PLUM TORTE 
1 c. sugar
1 stick of butter (1/2 c.)
2 eggs
1 c. flour
1 tsp. baking powder
Dash or two of salt
12 Italian Prune Plums

Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs, then mix well. Add dry ingredients, beat smooth. Place in greased, floured tin. Cut plums in half and remove pits. Place skin side up around top of the torte. Sprinkle with sugar, cinnamon and lemon juice. Bake at 350°F for 1 hour. You may use a fair amount of the cinnamon, especially if you like it.

my father has an italian plum tree and this year there was ALOT of plums so i decided to try this recipe but instead of using 12 plums cut in half I used 24 and cut them into quarters. The torte make out AMAZING!!!!! So juicy and tender thank you for recipe!
