BAKED SCALLOPS 
2 lb. fresh sea scallops
1/2 c. butter, melted
3 tbsp. chopped parsley
1 1/2 tsp. basil leaf, crumbed
1 tsp. salt
1/4 tsp. pepper
1/2 tsp. garlic salt or powder

Rinse scallops under running water thoroughly, and drain well between paper towels.

Place in single layer in large shallow baking pan. Brush with melted butter, and sprinkle on remaining spices. Bake at 350 degrees for 5 minutes, stir to coat well, bake additional 20 minutes or until done. Serve buttery sauce over rice or potato side dish.

Quick & straight up delicious. Wanted no breading, flour or cheese and this recipe was delightful. I did not have parsley on hand but recipe lends itself nicely to improvisation with herbs & spices. Served over some precooked barley and fresh broccoli where the loads of butter broth made a wonderful all over flavor. Can't wait till I find scallops on sale again ;].
