SOUTHERN SPOON BREAD | |
1 c. fine white corn meal 2 c. boiling water 1 tbsp. butter 2 tsp. salt 2 eggs, beaten 1 c. milk Pour water over meal. Cook together 5 minutes. Add butter and milk and beaten eggs. Pour into greased baking dish. Bake at 350 degrees (moderate oven) 25 minutes or until set like a soft baked custard. |
