BUTTER NUT POUND CAKE 
3 c. sugar
2 sticks butter
1/2 c. Crisco
1/4 tsp. salt
5 eggs
2 tbsp. butternut flavoring
3 1/4 c. flour (cake flour)
3/4 c. evaporated milk & enough water to make 1 c. liquid

Cream sugar, butter and Crisco together. Add one egg at a time; beat well. Add flour alternating with milk, salt and flavoring. Put in 10" tube pan, lightly greased. Place in cold oven, set heat at 325 degrees. Bake 1 hour and 30 to 40 minutes.
