APPLE BROWNIES 
2/3 c. soft butter
1 3/4 c. brown sugar
2 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. flour
2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1/3 c. chopped nuts
1 c. chopped apples, peeled
1/3 c. raisins
Powdered sugar

Cream butter and brown sugar. Add eggs and beat. Add vanilla; mix again. Add dry ingredients and beat until mixture is smooth. Add apples and nuts and raisins; stir gently. Spread batter into greased 9 x 13 inch pan and bake at 350 degrees for 20-30 minutes until slightly browned. Remove brownies from pan and roll each one in powdered sugar.
