CONNECTICUT APPLE BROWNIES 
1/2 c. butter
1 c. sugar
1 egg
1 c. flour
1/2 c. chopped nuts
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/2 tsp. baking powder
1/4 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon
2 c. chopped apples (peeled)

Combine sugar, butter and eggs. Add dry ingredients and mix well. Stir in apples and nuts. Spoon into greased 9 inch square pan (or double recipe for 9 x 13 inch pan). Bake at 350 degrees for 30 to 40 minutes.

Serve warm with ice cream.
