MARINATED VIDALIA ONIONS 
2 c. water
3/4 c. sugar
1/3 c. of vinegar (white)
2 Vidalia onions sliced and separated
Mayonnaise
Celery seed

In a large bowl put onions. Add water, sugar and vinegar. Marinate overnight in refrigerator. Drain. Put just enough mayonnaise to coat slices of onion. Put on a platter. Sprinkle celery seed on top of onion slices.
