SOFT MOLASSES COOKIES 
3/4 c. butter
1 c. brown sugar
1/4 c. molasses
1 egg
2 tsp. baking soda
2 1/4 c. flour
1/4 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. cloves
1 tsp. vanilla
2 c. oats

Melt butter over low heat, remove from heat. Add brown sugar, molasses, egg. Mix well. Mix dry ingredients and add to liquid ingredients. Mix well. Chill 1 hour. Roll into 1 inch balls and roll in mixture of 3 tablespoons sugar and 2 teaspoons cinnamon. Bake at 375 degrees for about 8 to 10 minutes.
